It shouldn’t come as a surprise to any of my readers that I have a passion for superhero stories. I could wax poetic about my love for the genre for hours. The desperate vigilantes, driven to visit justice upon those who think themselves beyond the reach of the law. The hopeful volunteers who put their lives on the line to protect the weak and the helpless. The power-mad lunatics with grandiose schemes made manifest by abilities beyond the ken of mortal man.
I love this stuff, whether it’s in the form of a movie, a TV show, a radio drama or a comic book. But, where I love to see it the most is in prose. I’m a reader, first and foremost, and there’s something about tucking into a good long read that makes me happy. Through the written word, we get a more in-depth understanding of the characters and the challenges they face. We do more than watch the action. We live it.
And now, you can do it on the cheap and help out a worthy cause at the same time.
Now through May 25th, 2023, you can get the Superhero Spectacular StoryBundle. This collection of ten novels from the best in the business will boggle your mind, thrill your soul and get your heart beating so hard it’ll knock the pack of cigarettes out of your shirt pocket.
Actually, if that last thing happens, you might want to seek medical treatment. But at least you’ll have something to read in the emergency room.

I bought this back when it was available based on my love of the “Wearing The Cape” series and knowing that I’ve enjoyed Keith R.A. DeCandido’s Star Trek work and your book “The Hero Beat” was a great read and now the rest of the series is on my Amazon wishlist! So far I’ve only read 3/10 of the books I bought, but all three were absolute bangers.
Thanx for the kind words, Adam. Glad you enjoyed the book. I’m reading “The Sixth Men” right now, and it’s pretty fun. Very reminiscent of the old pulp novels of the twenties.
