So, we spent the afternoon picking apples from our orchard (which currently stands at one fruit-bearing tree). Here’s our haul:
And that’s after the local elk herd took their share. I never knew a single tree produced this much fruit. It turns out crabapples are just what you need for making apple pie, so I got that to look foreward to.
Charlotte started on canning this evening. Filled six big mason jars, and barely made a dent in our wagon o’ apples. We have a LONG way to go.
