Last week was pretty busy. Most of it good. Among the good things, I wrote about 8-9000 words on The Temporary Hero, which is a pretty darned good week for me. But the thing that just blew the doors off happened over the weekend.
Saturday morning, our cub scout pack held a car wash to raise funds to send some of the boys who couldn’t afford it to camp. Camping’s a big deal up here, and we don’t want anyone to be left behind. So, Tommy and I went to the local Pizza Hut parking lot (they kindly donated the space and let us use their water, so a big thanx to them) to spend the day washing cars.
Then, these guys pulled up.
Yeah, that’s right, we got to wash a fire engine. I’m not sure who was more excited, me or the boys.
Anyhow, we had a blast and raised $250.
OK-don’t know how I found this…but where are pics of you & Tommy?? Glad you were able to benefit $’s 4 others & have fun doing it…congrats 2 U both…Hugs
